Teachers’ Workshop:
‘Bringing History to life through creative historical narratives’
We were thrilled to collaborate with the National Museum to run a teachers’ workshop titled ‘Bringing history to life through creative historical narratives’. It was a lovely afternoon with a roomful of enthusiastic teachers with whom we shared insights into writing historical narratives, how such stories can capture students’ attention and bring history to life beyond the textbooks. The workshop was part of Words Go Round by the National Arts Council.
Once Upon
A Time: Singapore In Her Early Years
We love giving author talks at schools and encountering enquiring and enthusiastic young minds. This time, we made our rounds to Angsana Primary School, New Town Primary School and the German European School Singapore to talk about the early colony of Singapore. They were not history lessons, rest assured, but a fun session of stories, amazing facts and little known vignettes of Singapore in the 1800s.
