Library 30 July – Storytelling & Heritage Games
Storytelling from ‘The Little Singapore Book’, followed by a series of heritage games like kuti-kuti, five stones and zero point. We think they had a blast.
National Gallery
We collaborated with the National Gallery Singapore for an afternoon of storytelling from The Little Singapore Book. This was followed by a gallery tour where our young participants were introduced to some artworks which echoed our stories—including a painting of the incredibly tall Changi Tree and tiger attacks. Then they all gathered back at the activity room to make a Changi Tree bookmark, an original craft by Pepper Dog Press.
The Fullerton
Hotel 1st Anniversary As a Gazetted National Monument
The Fullerton Hotel was officially gazetted a national monument on 7 December 2015. We were so honoured to be part of the first anniversary celebrations of that milestone, and were there to tell a group of children stories from old Singapore from our book. We thought it was very apt, as The Fullerton Building features in the book’s heritage trail. (Credit: Photos courtesy of The Fullerton Hotel)
